WIP for September

In August I pulled out some fabric for a new project.  The idea for this project is based on the traditional log cabin block.  I've had this idea since the beginning of the year and made a sample block for it here.

Last week I started to play with this idea again.  I made a little change and now the block looks like this.

I'm still working and tweaking it till.....  I don't know where this will lead me to.  It will be an adventure.

Last Monday the 19th, the Valley MQG invited me to give a presentation about my quilting journey.  I was nervous at first but then I warmed up after 10 minutes.  The members are so nice and welcoming.  I had a great time sharing with them about my quilting experiences and got to show off some of  my quilts.  Thank you to the Valley MQG for the opportunity.  I'm so blessed to be among uplifting and encouraging people.  If you want to know more about me and my quilts, you can go to the Creatwhimsy and read more.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

  3. I love your fabric pull and your concept for this project, Margo! Those slices of bright solids are like electric sparks cutting through the negative background space. Looking forward to seeing where this one takes you!

  4. Such interesting blocks for me to look at (I'm a repro civil war fabric quilter). Your blocks are lovely, and I really like the handbag "popular post" that I saw at your site. Good work!

Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. I enjoy reading each and every one and will respond with an email. If you don't get an email response, it's probably because you're a "no reply blogger" and I have no way to contact you! If you don't hear from me, check back at the original blog post for my reply.
