Hi there all my quilty friends. I took an unexpected long break from sewing and blogging. It was this long absence that made it so hard to get back to my normal routines.
Thanks to a few dear quilty friends who contacted me to see how I was doing. I really appreciate you and was touched beyond measure. I love this quilting community and the lovely people in it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💗💓💗
Now that they had been gifted, I can share the photo. The first two finished quilts of this year are these 2 baby quilts. The first one is for a dear friend who just had her first grand baby girl. She's over the moon for the new little baby. Another one is for a young friend who had his first baby girl in March. I finished this quilt sometime ago because of an advance notice. All I had to do was put a label on.
Then I lazily moved on to work on the denim quilt I finished (the top) last year. You can read about it here. Regarding the name of this quilt, I boiled it down to two names; Surprise! and Masquerade. I welcome all input, let me know which name you like better.

I started quilting the background first because I knew what I wanted to do for it; I plan to do one inch grid. The other areas, I'll get to them as I go along. It's kinda like make it up as I go....LOL.
