In the last few days, I worked on the first inset circle. This is the most challenging one because I have to line up two seams that are crucial to the look I want to achieve.
One of the background fabric is sheerer than the others and while I was composting the background layout, I accidentally put it over one marble. I liked the way the marble looked through the sheer fabric so I kept them the way they were, frayed edge and all. This is the way the first marble on the quilt looks.
I can't tell you how many times I undid the seams where the overlap is in order to line up the vertical and horizontal seams.
This project progresses slowly but I'm getting there.
Thanks for visiting.
