Things I like to make II (Quilts)

Part II:  Second on the list is quilting.  I love the whole process of making quilts; from selecting patterns, playing with pieces of fabric to a complete quilt.  Here are some of the quilts I made.

Things I like to make I (Handbags)

Part one:  There are a few things I like to make.  At the top of the list has to be handbags and quilts.  For this post, I chose handbags first because they are finished faster than quilts.  I like to use many interesting fabric, leather and nice accessories.

My classes at Quilt Emporium in Woodland Hills

For the first quarter of 2014, I have several classes lined up at Quilt Emporium in Woodland Hills, or www.quiltemporium.com

In February, I have  Valentine pillow which will be on Monday 3rd. at 10:30 am.

And The Downton Abbey handbag on Monday 10th. at 10:30 am. to 2:30 pm.

In March, I have The Beatle Bag which is on March 1st at 9:30 am. to 12:30 pm.  I'm still working on this bag, will post picture when I'm done.

2/4/2014  Well, I'm done with the bag and here it is.  It's a lot of work but very challenging and fun to make.

And Margo's Posy quilt on March 10th and 17th at 10:30 am. to 12:30 pm.  You can visit the Quilt Emporium's website to see the picture of the quilt.  It's a 4-hour class but break up into 2 sessions.  This quilt is similar to the one that was published in the Quilt Life Magazine in December 2013.

My first blog of 2014

I used to think I didn't have time for social media activities.  I thought I had too much to do and I didn't want to spend a lot of time at front of the computer.  Well, I finally got my own blog today. We'll see where this leads to.

In December, two of my quilts got published in the Quilt Life magazine.  I wanted to give credit to Jan Magee, the Editor-in-Chief, and her team who made  the quilts looked so good.  It had been great to be able to work with the pro's.  Here are some pictures from the magazine.

In this first quarter of 2014, I have a few classes scheduled at the Quilt Emporium, they are a baby quilt, a Downton Abbey handbag, a Beatle bag and a valentine pillow class.  I'll have the pictures of the classes in my next post.
